First Things First: Graphic Design
Our world is immersed with signage and graphics at every street corner, It's how we all communicate - through labels and signs.
We all have something to say. A story to tell. And we all want to leave our mark on earth. Our design team have t-shirts as a platform to express ourselves, and we want our designs to clearly convey your vision for the shirt.
Things to Keep in Mind When Conveying Your Thoughts:
CONCEPT
What's the premise or theme of your project?
Is it a school theme, family reunion, church or religious event, political, business oriented, music related, art deco, words-only, etc., etc..
This will help keep you and us, the designers, on track for our end goal.
DESIGN
Start with thinking in black & white.
Focus on the core of information and then fill it out further from there.
What's the Header Title? Or is it a left chest logo?
What's the middle body of information, or is it a graphic image? What data is at the footer
(like a catch phrase, location, or date)?
When thinking of the back of the shirt
remember a call to action such as a phone number, address, or website for more information.
IMAGE PLACEMENT
This project will be embellished forever so make it right from the start.
While multiple image placement will increase the overall cost of the finished product - don't compromise the integrity of your project to save a little bit of space or money.
COLOR
Does your company or event have a color theme?
Keep in mind the garment color can be one of the main colors of your theme.
However try to avoid the image colors being the same as the garment color
(ex. purple won't print on purple, or red on red, etc.).
White garments are the best because all other colors can stand out. If a dark garment must be used then white ink will need to be the underbase for all the other ink colors. Keep this in mind as the white can be an additional color not already apart of your color theme.
